The Stubbing Wharf
The venue for the Open Mic Surgery, and a fantastic pub in it's own right. Marc and Jude preside over a famous selection of well kept cask ales and quality home cooked food.
Dogs and Kids are welcome, food is served daily and the tables on the canal at the back of the pub are one of the nicest places in Hebden when the sun is shining. Large Car Park too. What more could you ask for?
The World on Your Doorstep
Website of the World Music Festival which took place for the first time in Calder Holmes Park in 2007 and which will now be an annual event
Trades Club
Hebden Bridge would not be Hebden Bridge without the Trades. A famous little venue and members club that has held thousands of high quality and unusual gigs over the years. The Trades has worked with the OMS on many occasions, most recently staging the OMS Showcase event on April 28th 2007.
Treesponsibility
Treesponsibility in Calderdale is a not-for profit community group, based on mutual accountability and consensus. We have a small ‘core’ group of members with a wider circle of people who subscribe to our newsletter and turn up to tree plantings. So far, we've managed to plant about 60,000 trees and hedge plants. Spin-off projects include the Community Tree Nursery, which is set to take off into its own independent life, and the Wild Garden, an outdoor education area at Ferney Lee School in Todmorden. We've also written a book and produced a video about our activities!
Weirdigans
Weirdigans Organic Café is run by a collective of friends (including occasional OMS compere Dave Brooks) who travel to festivals and other outdoor events.
Calder Recorings
Local Studios providing a range of reasonably priced pro audio services, including recording, production and duplication. Lots of OMS artists use these chaps.
Musician's Centre
Hebden Bridge Music shop offering guitars, keyboards, strings and everything musicians need!
