Aims
1. To provide a platform to showcase the talents, skills and energy of local people by promoting live music and performance.
2. To provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere for musicians and performers to practice and hone their craft.
3. To bring together the diverse members of the community of the Upper Calder Valley. The active involvement and participation of people from a broad range of backgrounds means that in a small community like ours the proportion of the population directly involved is significant, and the resultant cohesiveness directly affects the rest of the community.
4. To help break down the barriers to communication through music and the arts by providing free access. This helps to introduce new music to a new audience.
5. To inspire people to improve their local environment by participation. The opportunity for volunteers to develop and learn new skills is especially useful and their experience and knowledge will be passed on to new volunteers.
6. To aid the regeneration of the local area by supporting co-operative sharing of resources and equipment.
